SK Hynix, a key supplier to Nvidia, reported record-breaking third-quarter results as demand for its high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips surged. The South Korean chipmaker's revenue reached ₩24.45 trillion ($17.13 billion), a 39% year-on-year increase, while operating profit jumped 62% to ₩11.38 trillion. Shares soared over 5%, extending their 2024 rally to 210%.

The company confirmed it has already sold out its planned memory chip supply for 2026, highlighting unprecedented demand from data-center clients investing in AI infrastructure. SK Hynix attributed its performance to increased sales of high-value products, particularly those powering generative AI servers.

Next-generation HBM4 chips will enter production this quarter, cementing the firm's leadership in AI memory technology. Final negotiations with major customers are underway, though specific partners remain undisclosed.
